Listen to Tell Me More from Sunday, March 20, 2016 – Thomas’ Walk Against Hunger with Laura Wall
Philadelphia’s hidden crisis for families – hunger – and the local organizations that put food on the table for nearly half a million or our neighbors every year and what we can do to help as we prepare for the Thomas’s Walk Against Hunger April 9th.
Did you know that more than a quarter of Philadelphians live in poverty, including 36% of the city’s children. For them the struggle to put food on the table can be a daily struggle. Laura Wall is the Executive Director of the Greater Philadelphia Coalition Against Hunger, organizations dedicated to helping build a community where all people have the healthy food they need. Laura says the fact that so many of our neighbors are hungry is often a hidden problem. To learn more go to http://www.hungercoalition.org/
