Philadelphia One of the Worst Cities to Drive In, Study Says

As if we didn't already know.

According to a survey by Wallethub, Philadelphia was ranked as one of the worst cities to drive in in the United States. In fact, there were only two cities worse than Philadelphia: Oakland, CA and Detroit, MI. 

Wallethub used categories such as cost of ownership and maintenance, traffic and infrastructure, safety, and access to vehicles and maintenace to rank each city. Here is how Philadlephia did:

  • Cost of Ownership and Maintenance: 91
  • Traffic and infrastructure rank: 96
  • Safety rank: 82
  • Access to vehicles and maintenance rank: 34
